Like the carabiner hole in the Gibbs cam, the hole in the Petzl cam is also a close fit, particularly when using a large steel carabiner. The Soft Link eliminates the potential for a carabiner creating a torque load on the cam. We manufacture the Soft Link out of 6,000 lb rated flat web. The 6-1/2 inch (165mm) length is just right for the CMC 2 inch Rescue Pulley when used with a large rescue carabiner.
